  • best advice i ever got, so ill pass it on: keep a large variety of fruit around your kitchen and whenever you are feeling a binge coming on, partake in said fruit until satiated. its really hard to gag on sweet, fresh, ripe fruit...and its pretty fi…

  • someone writes: "I think vegans should post on their own as they tend to be touchy feely type of people (ie. annoying lol) and I struggle as it is in here biting my toungue trying to be respectful, but really, when it boils down to it, I don't give …
  • thank you gratefultobe, very well put. what i said was in no way disrespectful, but like you said people who still eat that way are very touchy about it and use various methods to rationalize their discordant behaviors. cheers to you!
  • agreed, subject dropped. i knew you were getting way off base when you started talking about pets, but you missed my point and kept pounding oreos for some reason. i attempted to get you back on track to no avail. feel free to start a post about hou…
  • that cat that was hanging out by your door is domesticated. pixx, because she was born feral doesn't all of a sudden mean she is wild. that's like saying a chimp born in a zoo is "domesticated." no, its not...if it had the chance and was angry it wo…
  • dogs, and pets in general, are bred by humans and have been domesticated for thousands of years...they eat nothing like their wild ancestors--unless, of course, you are setting your dog pack free in the pastures. i was speaking of wild animals, not …
  • c'mon lets not go martyr on this party. eat all the fish you want, i simply was trying to say that when allowed to "eat intuitively" some would choose less healthy than others. i just find it bogus, that is it. every other species on this planet eat…
  • so by intuitive eating logic, should i scarf a pizza when i feel like it? i question the intuitive eaters when the results are not only not raw, but not vegan. is that what this site is about? is this Rawskeptic's quest? i believe in eating what you…
  • Rawskeptic-- nothing to lose, everything to gain! cheers to having an open mind and giving it a go...ill be waiting for your end of the week report.
  • Rawskeptic--for this last week, increase your fruit intake and lower your fats (currently at 40%!) considerably. If, by the end of 7 days, you do not notice an increase in stamina, then at least you will have tried "both" forms of raw. I make smooth…
  • actually, they are not as hard as they look. any high power/speed blender will make quick work of an avocado pit. you can even cut them in half...its pretty cool as the off-white flesh oxidizes quickly. try chewing them...they are very bitter, but a…
  • they are not filling enough? put 1/4 lb of baby spinach, 6 bananas and a cup of strawberries in a blender. drinking this will provide roughly 700 calories, myriad vitamins/minerals and you will not be hungry for at least a couple of hours.
  • um…don’t eat the blob. it probably wont make you sick, but its not whats good for you. you drink the tea and give away the baby to another person interested in making booch, then use the mother to make yourself another batch. you should be tasting t…

  • sorry, but your math here is way off. a simple calculator check shows that would only amount to $425 a person. so that nullifies the rest of this silly post as $425 can’t buy crap these days. and next time you post an email forward—at least give cre…
  • stevio—read the book, it will answer your questions. fats cause most of the problems, not sugars. also google “robbie barbaro” for 811/diabetes success stories. im not saying its easy to get 2000 calories in a day eating only fruit, but with little …
  • how is it misplaced, kevlar? keep your laws to yourself and everybody is happy. you are here now, lets not deal in silly hypotheticals. enjoy the life you have, let me and the rest of us live ours. dagny and tomsmom, excellent takes—agree wholeheart…

  • i use a two speed vita mix at work and i have a blendtec (with at least 10 speeds) at home. blendtec is more powerful (more HP), less expensive, more versatile, not as tall so it fits under your upper cabinets, better looking (my opinion) and smarte…

  • cool. make sure to replace those lost calories though, so you don’t suffer any lethargy from calorie deprivation. fruits, fruits and more fruits. ;)
  • yep, same with me. i ate pretty well before going raw and i had one or two really sluggish days in my first 3 weeks. i found that limiting my fat intake and eating more fruit helped get over those tired “detox” times.
