Is it "Thrive" or "The Thrive Diet"? "Thrive" is his first book, which is only about 10 or 11 dollars. Most of the recipes you've posted are from that one.

"The Thrive Diet" is his newest book. It should be all vegan, with a mix of cooked and raw. I haven't received my copy yet, but I heard it has a lot of raw recipes and raw alternatives to the cooked recipes.

In my opinion, the second book is definitely worth buying. It probably summarizes the first, which you already have the majority of recipes from and that are also posted on the Vega web site.

Thrive is here, it's on sale for 20 dollars down the street.. I'm just not sure if it's worth buying because a lot is cooked or only vegetarian.. what do you guys think?

travelbug79, it's not in his new book; it is in the previous book, "Thrive." I have not gotten his new book yet since it is only available in Canada at the moment. But, I did order one from amazon.ca yesterday. I hope to get it soon. I am even more anxious to get it after reading your good review.

re shannonmarie:

are you sure it's in his latest book?

i don't see it-although it's somewhat similar to his Blueberry Roobios Antioxidant Smoothie on pg. 223...

...The Thrive Diet is really good though! I've been carrying it around everywhere, re-reading, highlighting, checking for ingredients...I definately recommend it!

k8lyn07, I want the new book, too. It is available in Canada now, but the US will have to wait until the fall. I am impatient, so I am going to try to order one from a Canadian source. I thought you might have it since I wasn't familiar with the athlete milkshake of his you posted. Where did you get your hands on that one?

and just so im not misunderstood, these are *not* my recipes, the BB stands for Brandon Brazier and they are all his recipes. he is a triathlete who has done a lot of really good research which is why I thought these recipes were too valuable not to share! i will work on finding some more :)

That's Brendan Brazier's daily nutritional shake recipe from his Thrive book. I drink it all the time. Have you gotten a copy of his new book yet? I hear it is even better than the first one and packed with raw recipes.
