I would fill my first jar with red cabbage surrounding half an apple. In a few days that would produce sauerkraut. The tight top would help to compress the cabbage to squeeze out the liquid. I would use several jars for this.

My first jar I would fill with homemade RAW goodies that I would give to family and friends for Christmas. They would get a beautiful jar and could behold the yummy Cristmas treat !!

WOW! It would be difficult to choose what to fill them with first. Being a new student in Natural Therapeutics school, would love to fill my first Kilner Jar with lovely dried herbs and flowers collected from the Sandia mountain for medicinal tea. The second jar with dehydrated veggies from the farmers market and the third with powerhouse flax seed.

I am always in need of quality storage jars such as these Kilner jars. I will fill my first jar with Kimchee to ferment. I am already making plans for the rest of these wonderful jars. I only use glass, they are the best and I love this type of 'lock down' lids.
