Recipe Directions

Wash 1/8 cup of fenugreek seeds atleast twice (I do it thrice) and drain the water. Then add 300 ml of pure water and soak them overnight. Drink this water first thing the next morning (atleast 1/2 hr before your breakfast). And continue to sprout for 1.5 days. By this time roots will be 1 – 2 times the length of the seed. You need to spend 5 mins now sorting the unsprouted seed and discard them. You may find 20-30 of them per batch.

Your lunch/dinner/snack is ready for you to ENJOY.

NOTE : You can find Fenugreek seeds in Indian Grocery stores at $2-3 per lb whereas in WholeFoods it costs $10-12 per lb.

As per Ayurveda, the Ancient Indian Medicinal System, Fenugreek sprouts detoxifies the body, controls the blood sugar and helps in curing Diabetes. Drinking the water in which fenugreek seeds are soaked overnight helps in digestion , clearing of toxins, a little bitter though. But once sprouted fenugreek develops a subtle sweet taste. I take these everyday for lunch.
