Allo,
Thank you for your vidéo and your intention to review blenders from your own, lengthty and expert experience. Fundamentally, I seek expert advice on which blender model to purchase.
I expected more information from your careful video, espacially about the circulation of different kind of foods, confronted to the operating time needed to blend or grind. This, in a comparative perspective if you may. For instance, would a mix of fresh leafy green and berries would process without tampering with a spatula; what about root vegetable, whole or diced? About seeds and nuts (will they rotate well, and this rotating force counter the adhesion forces of food to itself or carafe's wall)? And what if grains (or sprouted grains) are added to a thick liquid mixture just processed in the carafe?
Another consideration would be the deterioration (oxydation) of foods, both from time needed to process them or from the power itself coupled with the characteristic of the blade. Would you know some references in this respect? Is there a limit to the desirability of power in this regard?
Questions like these, I think, are fundamental and as you said, good responses are gained through experience like yours.
I would have appreciated a closer look to the blade and coupling assembly, to compare them from a mechanical point of view; for instance, Vitamix blade seems to cut while blendtec blade seems to beat. Your opinion on durability was important and could have been more explicit but your mechanical intuition seems right (and welcomed!)
Other important consideration few people seems to care about, the electric and magnetic fields emitted by these devices when operating, or while plugged in off position. The field of engines are very powerful and close to the body; because of the frequent use, they could be a source of concern. A simple Gigahertz Solution ME3030B could give this information when placed appropriately near the engine base. I'd provide you with references or links to litterature review on the health effects of these fields if you want.
Thank you, best regards,
