The Rawtarian's Thoughts

By The Rawtarian

This raw strawberry vinaigrette reminds me of classic raspberry vinaigrette - but without the "grit" of raspberry seeds. And with only four ingredients, it's a snap to whip up in the blender!

The strawberries are what give this recipe its delightful sweet, fruity, tangy flavor. So be sure to use strawberries with lots of flavor! Fresh are best.

This recipe goes perfectly with spinach salad!

I like my salad dressings really sweet, and this recipe is naturally very sweet due to the strawberries (as long as your strawberries are nice and sweet.) No additional sweeteners are required.

I like the idea of using strawberries instead of Raspberries to avoid the grittiness. Seems like a lot of sweetness would be lost though. Unless I have been buying the wrong strawberries!

Really enjoyed this dressing! It's not too tangy which has been my problem with other dressings that involve Apple Cider Vinegar. This will be my go-to dressing for sure. Thank you! :)

Hi Nk,

Sea salt tastes better and is much healthier. Go pick some up!

To answer your question, yes, you *can* use regular table salt for it, but perhaps just use half :)

Can I exclude the oil? I really don't like to use any sort of oil.

Sure! Next time add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds before blending - that should do the trick!

I love sweet salad dressings too, especially quick and easy ones! Great that you use Celtic sea salt, that is my all time favorite salt!!

Hi PS - it definitely depends on your strawberries. The ones I used were super sweet and LOVELY. But if your strawberries are flavorless or somewhat sour, feel free to add your preferred sweetener (honey, agave nectar, stevia, maple syrup, dates etc) to taste. Mine didn't need any sweetenes though because my strawberries rocked when I made this. :)

She is always great about listing those details under the recipe in the coral colored box. This recipe has a 4 day shelf life.
