Yield
Makes enough for me!
Ingredients
2 bananas (sliced length wise)
Sea salt
Vitamin C powder
Juice of half a lemon
Agave nectar (to taste)
Recipe Directions
1. Mix lemon juice and agave juice together in a bowl.
2. Take banana slices and dip in juice mixture.
3. Take Vitamin C powder and sea salt. Mix together more Vitamin C than salt.
4. Roll bananas in it. Sprinkle extra salt on top.
5. Place in dehydrator until bananas are chewy.
Ambergirl's Thoughts

Okay, so I love Sour Straws. You know, those ones that come in the bright packaging and full of Red 40? Lol.
But the ones I came up with are great, and taste just like the junk food, only way better for you.
And plus, there’s no guilt.
I hope you love them as much as I do!

Or perhaps by Vitamin C powder, ambergirl meant "citric acid?" I can find that stuff in bulk at my HF store and it sure is tart!

oh i remembered - don't use Emergen-c !! It's got crushed beetles in it for the oragne-y red color.. I read about it in Vegetarian magazine. Lot's of orange juice has it too. But, we know better than you drink store stuff anyway. ;)

I mean vit. C powder - not the Emergen C packets... i don't think those would work b/c they fiz up. I don't know about citric acid. I might work! especially if it's tart! the more tart that powder is, the better! I'm sorry to hear that you don't have vit. C at your health food store! You should request it!!

Hey! When you say Vitamin C powder, do you mean like the Energy C packets or plain Vitamin C powder? Can't wait to make these!
