Ingredients
4 cups flax seeds
2 cups sun-dried tomatoes
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon cayenne
Recipe Directions
1. Soak the sun-dried tomatoes in in equal part water for at least an hour (up to 4 hours) and blend tomatoes and soak water in blender. Soak the flax seeds in 4 cups of water for at least a half hour (up to 8 hours).
2. Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl and mix well.
3. Spread on Teflex sheets. Dehydrate at 145 Fahrenheit for 2-3 hours.
4. Flip and remove Teflex sheet. Dehydrate for an additional 7 or so hours at 115 Fahrenheit.

you changed your picture! ;) i was used to seeing the other one.... oh, and i like the recipe too! ;) will try that for sure now that i have my brand new dehydrator. :D

You can get perfect squares by scoring the crackers before dehydrating. After spreading on teflex sheets, run your spatula through the mix where you want to be able to break. When they are dehydrated, the crackers break pretty easily along those lines.

I have to add that this is the recipe I make most off of this site since it's very inexpensive and a no brainer to make. I always have some of these crackers on hand and try various toppings on them. They rock.

Yeah, the crackers are pretty crunchy out of the dehydrator. You can still break them apart when they're dry, but they're pretty jagged. Still yummy!

or if you forget to do that...you can use a pizza cutter.

I meant to say rectangles. When I break them up they come out like triangles.

For a little variety, I soaked 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion along with the sun-dried tomatoes. I eat these often so always looking for slight changes to keep it interesting. They're so great with a super salad!
