Joined January 19, 2010
My name is Bryan McAllister, I am a jazz piano major at CSU Northridge and the leader of the Bryan McAllister Group - a contemporary jazz group based out of Los Angeles. I've tried veganism, vegetarianism, and and other things throughout the years that I didn't end up sticking with. When I ended my freshman year of college and started realizing I wasn't living the way I should be, I went on a low-carb diet and have lost 60 pounds in the last 6 months. I feel so much better now that I am near my goal weight, and for those skeptics, I understand the low-carb diet can be done very badly but I assure you I am eating very healthy while on this diet. Now that I am near my goal weight I am re-evaluating my life once more and taking my diet to the next step. I realize that meat and eggs and cooked foods are doing next to nothing for me, and that I will feel my best when I am closer to nature and farther from bad foods. I recognize that a raw diet is what I am looking for, and I am preparing for my start eating raw. I am a VERY poor college student, but am determined to make this diet work with my scheduling and my bank account.

I would greatly appreciate any words of wisdom, any thoughts about the raw lifestyle, or anything of that matter. Namaste.
