Someone else deserves the credit for this recipe, but I can’t remember where I jotted it down from. All I know is that it is a really tasty and decadent recipe to whip up when you are craving something sweet. At some point, I plan to try experimenting with this for a raw version of cookie dough ice cream – yum!...

Recipe Directions

Stir all ingredients in a bowl. If you can hold off long enough, it is even better chilled. Eat with a spoon or use as a sweet spread or dip for fruit pieces.

I've been looking at this recipe for a very long time and am getting ready to make something like this, but what's the best nut butter to substitute tahini?

Coconut lovers' modification:

Coconut flakes (raw hopefully!) - dump in as much as you like so it's nice and thick!

Agave syrup - add maybe a tablespoon in addition to honey to mesh well with all the coconut and add to indulgence factor

YUM

Ok, I just made it again with less tahini and it tasted so super!! I want to make this concentrated dessert stretch further though so I am going to try CanrsieBK's idea of adding soaked chia seeds next time :)

I just bought raw honey and so am finally getting to try this - verrry, yummy!! I am going to adjust the tahini to less next time or try a different nut butter as I am not crazy about tasting the tahini. Otherwise it's unbelievable!!

i used the cacao powder as some others have, yet i found the taste of the tahini to be rather strong. it was still quite delicious, but next time i'll try another nut butter as others here have suggested.

this is an awesome recipe. added some soaked chia seeds to it to make a pudding. color wasn't the prettiest, but the texture and taste was damned good.

I tried this with 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder instead of 1 tbsp nibs since I don't have any. And my tahini was really soft, so I didn't add the coconut oil at all. It was pretty good (didn't chill,...it didn't really make it that long), and it kind of reminded me of marshmallow or something. I can't quite place it, but it's good!

Oh My Goodnes... this is Amazing... I used a Cashew/Brazil/Almond Nut Butter instead of the Tahini (as this flavor in recipes makes me feel sick)... I used Cocoa Powder instead of Nibs (i have never seen these where i live).. after reading the posts above i purposely didnt add the Coconut Oil until i had mixed everything else... the mixture was quite dry so i did add the Coconut Oil and then it was PERFECT!

Thankyou so much for this recipe, My Son who is Double SAD.. will love this instead of Nutella.. wowee... I am also going to use this in some desert/sweet form for non-raw friends...

Awesome!!! I am 1 Happy Customer :)

I just made this and enjoyed it (so did my kids who have been rejecting much of the raw 'processed' foods).

The only thing I'd tweak is this: a little less honey and a tad less coconut oil in ratio.

I added the lecithin powder like kauigirl sugegsted and a pinch of salt and some chopped pecans (my mom always puts pecans in her chocolate chip cookies). I cut the amount of cacoa nibs in half....

not too bad!

Thanks for the raw cookie dough ice cream idea (and the original cookie dough recipe). I made a raw pomegranate cookie dough soft serve yesterday and posted it on my blog tonight. Delish!

Hannahmarie, try adding coconut oil to your cookie recipes. I find that helps my cookies get crispy on the outside, while staying chewy on the inside.
