YieldAprox 3 meals
5-6 Apples, cored
5-6 Dates, pitted
1 cup walnuts
2 tsp cinnamon or to taste
1/4 tsp nutmeg or to taste
1 tsp powdered cardamom if desired
1 tsp vanilla if desired
Other dried fruit or nuts if desired- raisins, coconut, pecan, almond
Pinch or two of fine sea salt if desired
If needed you can add raw honey or agave to sweeten more.
Chop nuts and dates in cuisinart-put in large bowl
Shred apples in cuisinart. Add to nut mixture.
Add seasonings and mix. Enjoy!

This is served as a condiment at Passover but I eat it as a meal year- round! The original recipe adds sweet wine to the mix.
