Ingredients
4 cup Fresh Cranberries
2 Pears, Best if under-ripe (crunchy)
2 Navel Oranges
1 cup Raisins, Soaked
Recipe Directions
Peel one orange, leave the other unpeeled. Cut both into wedges. Place oranges, raisins, and pears into food processor. Pulse until roughly chopped. Add the cranberries (and sweetener if you’re so inclined—I don’t use it) and pulse until finely chopped but not pureed. Refrigerate for at least 30 min before serving.
If you can get your hands on SUPER fresh Comice Pears, that’s the best. I made it with pears straight off one of my parents trees, and it was fantastic. You want the pears crunchy. This relish has a fantastic texture.
I haven’t tried it yet, but it might be fab with goji berries. Post a comment if you try it, or with other modifications.
i actually got this (though I modified a little) from my non-raw grandmother as “Raw Cranberry Relish” Apparently all the fox news watching hasn’t completely warped her!
Artwings's Thoughts
By artwingsHoliday-ish, but I like it anytime I can get my hot little hands on cranberries.
