Halderman's Thoughts
By haldermanThis is a quick and easy soup that you can serve warm or cold.
It takes less time to make then heating up a can of soup.

Does anyone have a tomato soup recipe that calls for using tomatoes? I don't mean that to be rude(seriously) but I want to make a tomato soup that uses tomatoes in the recipe. Or is it not possible to do that? does an original tomato cause a weird taste? I'm not a cook at all. I just looked on my can of soup and it said it was a puree and corn syrup. So any good advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to try making tomato powder today. The way I figure it, you should be able to dice/chop a tomato up...dry it out until it's brittle. Throw'em in the freezer for 10 minutes or so. Take'em out and crush'em up. Blend to a powder in the vitamix. Botta bing, fingers are crossed.

Absolutely. I recommend using cherry tomatoes for a more intense flavor.

Could you use real tomatoes in place of the tomato powder and water?
