Several years ago I did a raw fruit/veggie week long diet, and after day 3 did pretty well on it. I have a few concerns about going vegan and especially going raw related to my health and weight. Just over 4 years ago I became very sick and was finally diagnosed with Lupus SLE. It has been a long road of focusing on meditation, mindful living and growing and eating the majority of my own crops (grown from heirloom seeds in an organic fashion) and I finally and doing much better. So here's the catch--I am underweight as it is and can't seem to gain weight--not great as I'm middle aged & in peri-menapause & if I have a flare up of my Lupus sx have little to draw from physically. My violent reaction of throwing up after my juice yesterday morning has left me rethinking some of these decisions--especially about the raw piece as it seems I might need something to settle my stomach in the morning before juicing. Guess I could try bananas. . .</p>
