Because Genesis specifically states that God gave us the herbs of the field and the fruit of the trees that have seed in them to be our ‘meat’. Indeed, meat originally meant simply food, not animal flesh.

Long story short, I have grown up in Amerika under a series of crushingly oppressive socialist regimes, marked by their disregard for scientific objectivity, callous stance on Constitutional liberty, and total subversion of God’s law. As such, I was educated largely in a public school system, taught atheism and mockery of religion as a way of life, and above all things taught that following the food groups found at www.mypyramid.gov was the way to eat. Oh my.

Needless to say, I have educated myself properly since that stage in my life. One such educational foray took me to the ream of nutrition. I read a book published by Wai Genriiu called “No more acne, no more cellulite, no more overweight”. Broken English, most likely because she is Dutch and the book is a translation. However, it is accessible at www.freeacnebook.com 100% legally free. This book discusses the major benefits of eating a total raw diet. I do make the caveat at this juncture that Ms. Genriiu claims that you need to consume some raw egg and raw fish in order to maintain a healthy balance of B-complex vitamins, fatty acids, and several other micronutrients. I agree with her, because I have tried being entirely 100% vegan and find that I get sick rather frequently, whereas when I eat 99% vegan with small amounts of raw egg and fish, I literally never get ill. Ever. Period. Not even a slightly upset stomach. Or a soar throat. Nothing.

So I am here looking for some raw food recipes, because just munching on carrots gets pretty boring after a while. I suspect that before God flooded the earth, there was a wider variety of flora available for human consumption, because God only made laws concerning which animals were clean to eat and which were not AFTER the flood, which implies that people did not consume animal flesh prior to the flood. Otherwise the implication is that pigs magically became dirty to eat after the flood but were not prior to it. Doubtful.

At any rate, I do not believe that it is possible to be perfectly healthy as a vegan. Perhaps if one is willing to consume large quantities of unprocessed seaweed, one could acquire the nutrients necessary to have a humdinger of an immune system. However, processed seaweed is not raw, and does not contain the nutritional richness that it does fresh out of the ocean. As such, I opt to consume small amounts of sushi and raw egg. In fact, I like both at the same time.

To this end, I was hoping that I would not be villified for posting a few recipes involving raw fish and raw egg. After all, this website is called gone RAW, not gone VEGAN.

Finally, I had one question for a few folks whose comments and profiles I have read. It seems there is a “diva detox” diet going around the site. Why are nuts excluded from this diet? Nuts are one of the healthiest things a human can consume as they are high in beneficial fatty acids and very low in simple carbohydrates. They do not contain an excesses of sulfur-containing amino acids, and as such do not tend to be acid-forming in the body. In the final analysis, one can scarcely be a functional vegetarian without the inclusion of nuts in the diet. Ergo, I am curious to see the defense of consuming no nuts. I should add as a caveat that I am promoting the consumption of TRULY raw nuts, meaning that they have not been shelled, since the shelling process involves flash heating or flash freezing, which causes thermal degradation of the food we consume. That is, of course, the whole point of eating raw to begin with, don’t you know?
