Joined May 21, 2008<p>I live in Texas, but am originally from the East Coast. I’m a mom to 8 awesome kids. I’ve been veggie off and on since the ‘80’s and raw off and on since 2004. Our raw journey started 4 years ago when my husband (who had a myriad of health issues) woke up one day announcing, “by the way, today is the first day of my 40 day fast”. I looked at him saying, “you’re gonna die”...heh heh. I began searching the internet on detoxing, fasting, and fell in love with the raw world.</p> <p>His spiritual fast for Jesus ended up giving him the desires of his heart and a physical renewal as well. After that, we ate mostly raw and had more energy and vibrance than ever! My kids (primarily the younger 6) love raw foods – the colors, textures, flavors. We are here to connect and find creative ways to keep all these little tummies full of healthy good foods.</p>
