I am a single parent on a limited income and cannot afford the big buck equipment (yet!) like a vitamix or a green power juicer. I have been over weight for 30 years (anywhere from 30 to 60 pounds) and have constant stomach problems. I also live 60 miles from the nearest whole foods/organic supermarket. No easy access. Last month, I managed to get food poisoning, yet again. I still have not recovered. A few years ago, I met a couple that ate raw. I didn’t get the chance to learn anything from them as they were just visiting, but they left a lasting impression. I am weaning myself from cooked foods and have made some major changes. No caffeine, no sodas, no dairy. Not more than two meals in the last week contained cooked foods. I have much to learn and need help with the essentials and a grocery list! My plan is to be 80/20 and then advance to 90/10 before going 100% raw. Any and all advice would be appreciated.</p>
