I started wanting this last night and concocted it this morning. It is delicious but intense. I drank it in 2 sittings, but I’m a cacao lightweight. If you use vanilla bean, slice open and add the smallest amount of the tar-ry goodness. I had my coconut water frozen from emptying some coconuts for another recipe....

I started wanting this last night and concocted it this morning.

It is delicious but intense. I drank it in 2 sittings, but I’m a cacao lightweight.

If you use vanilla bean, slice open and add the smallest amount of the tar-ry goodness.

I had my coconut water frozen from emptying some coconuts for another recipe. The iciness added a good consistency. You could also add frozen bananas or ice instead of the water.

It’s up to you to fiddle with amounts of things like the coconut butter or the date or cayenne. Adjust to your taste.

This is truly the nectar of the gods!

Cacao is the the stuff chocolate and cocoa are made from after being processed. The cacao tree produces pods or seeds/beans and the powder I used is ground from those beans and totally raw. Hope that helps.
