Yield1 large glass
1 ripe green pear (roughly chopped)
1 Medjool date (pitted, chopped)
2 teaspoons hemp seed (hulled)
1 organic kale leaf (devined) or 1 medium conventionally grown leaf
2 handfuls of baby spinach leaves
1 inch piece fresh vanilla bean (snipped in pieces)
¼ teaspoon cardamom (ground)
Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
1. Add the chopped pear to the Vitamix first.
2. Then add the rest of the ingredients.
3. Add water until it reaches the top of the pears in the Vitamix.
4. Blend smooth without overdoing it, so that the pear does not oxidize.
Kimbaly's ThoughtsBy Kimbaly
This is my new favorite green smoothie.
It is smooth, creamy, low fat, and alkalizing. I add dehydrated and shredded coconut and chill for a beautiful pudding.
You could probably add thick creamed coconut for a smooth pudding also, but I have not tried that yet. But I plan to!
