This is almost exactly like the real English treacle tart. I have always wanted to try some after reading Enid Blyton books.

I'm going to try making this with sunflower seeds coz I don't do nuts at the moment. Can't wait, it was a favourite when I was cooked. The cooked version is made with breadcrumb mixed with treacle. This version looks great thank U for posting it!

Unbelievable. That picture really does look _GOOD_. I have some macadamia nuts that would go great in this. Is the whipped cream made from young coconut and cashews, before you added mac nuts?

I SO want this! Do you think the shortbread could be made with any other nuts? Macadamias are so expensive! Thanks for the recipe!

Yes- My camera is in operation now! The cream bit is supposed to be like clotted cream, so I just thickened raw whipped cream with more macadamia nuts
