1/4 cup coconut oil
1/8 cup organic cocoa powder
FILLING
2 dates
2 teaspoons agave nectar
2 teaspoons coconut flakes
1/4 cup nuts
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1. Mix coconut oil and cocoa powder. Dehydrate to melt the oil and cocoa completely.
2. Pour in mold. Put in fridge to let set.
3. Mix the filling in the food processor and put into the set chocolate molds, leaving a little room at the edges.
4. Pour the remaining chocolate in the molds and put back into the fridge to set.

Does the chocolate shell not have any sweetener? This reminds me of a candy bar of my youth - Chunky. I wonder if they still are made? Thanks for posting this. Can't wait to hear the answer to my question and then to prepare!!!

Yes it absolutely DOES defeat the purpose of raw to nuke it, even for 10 secs. Microwaving does all sorts of weird stuff to the cells.
You can put that in the dehydrator to have the same effect without destroying the food value. It'll take longer but you'll still have viable, living food.
All that said, this looks delicious and I'm going to make some. Thanks for a great recipe.

No it doesnt. I wanted the bitterness of the chocolate to offset the sweet filling. Its a nice surprise when you bite into it.
I have never heard to the candy bar....interesting.

kdatyon, its the timing. I dont let it get hot, just warm enough to infuse the cocoa powder and coconut oil.
