Ymke's Thoughts

By Ymke

A delicious, sweet, light, and easy truffle recipe. One of the best sweets I’ve eaten since I’m raw!

I transformed ‘Sergei’s Amazing Truffles’, a recipe from Sergei Boutenko, into my own heavenly version.

Thanks for the nice comments!

Oh and Lucy, the candy is perfectly rounded by the use of two bare hands, a little bit of time, some attention & not to much pressure :)

holy! how did you get the dates so smooth! i make "truffles" with pecans coconut and dates and they are never this pretty. i think it might be time to upgrade my food processor. i really like cocoa, cinnamon and even a little bit of chili powder for added kick.

So I actually put twice as much water in as necessary and ended up with more of a pudding than little truffle balls, but what a great flavor!!! The cinnamon and carob combo with a hint of goji is really divine. Great recipe!

These are absolutely delightful. My friend can not have cocoa (I know... heartbreaking), so I made them without and then rolled them in cinnamon. They were wonderful! Thanks so much!

Amazing! they are delicious. I did use soaked and pealed almonds since I have a batch that needed to be used. I dusted some with lucuma powder, some others with mesquite meal and a couple of them with maca powder. Delicious. Then, I made another batch with unsoaked cashews, 2 tbsp raw cacao powder and some cocoa nibbels. I dusted these ones with lucuma powder! My husband loved this ones. thanks for sharing it with us.

These are DELICIOUS! Everyone-raw and nonraw-liked these. I had some soaked almonds that needed to be used and they worked fine. I rolled some in a combo of carob and cinnamon, but I liked the ones with just cinnamon better. I am going to make them for Thanksgiving. Thanks for posting!
