Kandace's Thoughts
By kandaceMango is one of my favorite flavors and I’ve been looking for a mango ice cream recipe for a while.
Loosely based on a recipe by the Barefoot Contessa.
Since this is very dense, it will freeze rock hard, so remove it from the freezer ahead of time to allow it to thaw enough to spoon.

I just thought I'd mention, Agave nectar comes from the Agave (tequila) cactus, it has nothing to do with bees or exploiting them. :)

I would use dates instead. Honey is for the bees, and I don't agree with the exploitation of domestic animals or wildlife for any reason, and that includes bees.

You could also use banana and possibly omit the orange, since banana is a sweet fruit and goes great with mango.

This looks great. I really like sorbet and am experimenting with a few of my own recipes at the moment.
What would you suggest to use instead of agave nectar as I don't have any at the moment?
Peaches :-)
