Ingredients
CRUST
2 cups nuts
1/2 cup dates, raisins, and/or figs
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon Braggs
1 teaspoon lemon or orange zest (optional)
FILLING
1 cup poppy seeds
1/2 cup currants (soaked overnight)
1/2 cup figs (stemmed)
1 tablespoon orange rind
1 teaspoon Braggs
Recipe Directions
CRUST
1. Coarsely grind crust ingredients and press into an 8"x8" pan.
FILLING
2. Blend seeds and figs in a food processor. Mix in currants, rind, and Braggs.
3. Pour poppy seed mixture onto crust. Press firmly and chill.
4. Cut into squares.
