Cool, I hope it comes out all right. If it looks dry on top simply add enough water to cover the cabbage and it's fine!

made this for my hubby, and he loved it. i have only made it once before, with red cabbage and he liked that one as well. (i always wait a week to see if he gets sick and then i have a good taste, after all, our kids need at least one of their parents right?? ;) lol, anyways, great recipe and great directions, thanks!

Greenie, how do you get it to ferment without salt? I tried reducing the salt and got wet cabbage, not sour. I would love to make this without salt. Do you do anything different?
