1 scoop raw cacao powder
1 tablespoon raw carob powder
1 tablespoon maca powder
1 tablespoon lucuma [owder
3 capsules fo-ti (ho shou wu; emptied)
1 tablespoon yacon (like syrup)
1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
Squirt of agave (generous)
6 drops SweetLeaf liquid stevia (chocolate flavor)
Dash of cinnamon
2 cups nut milk (I used macadamia/almond; use more or less depending upon consistency desired)
Handful of macadamia nuts
4 ice cubes (or more)
Dash of nutmeg
1. Place all ingredients into a blender, except the ice. Blend on high till well mixed.
2. Then add ice and blend again on high until smooth and frothy.
3. Pour into your favorite glass and add a sprig of mint or raw chocolate sauce.
I actually got the idea for this drink from a recipe I found through the Sunny Raw Kitchen site. The recipe was called “Best Coffee Ever”.
It was very good, but a little too thick and strong.
So I made some changes after many trial and errors with the recipe. I finally came up with this rendition, which I truly found delicious! I hope you do too.
One note: I recommend you use “heaping” scoops of the raw cacao powder, and heaping tablespoons of the raw carob. It’s okay to use a little more of both than not.
It’s very yummy and very satisfying, and it makes you feel real good!
