Justagirl's Thoughts
By justagirlThis is similar to a recipe on here for taco meat, but I wanted something a bit creamier, so I added tomato. I also love lots of spice, so you may want to play with the spices a bit. I was amazed after I finished that it tasted like the refried beans I had been missing since going raw. I use this as a great dip for parties too.

This is EXACTLY what I have been craving, something a little spicy and savory! I am eating this beside a salad with green onion, tomato, arugula and some sprouted chick peas. One of my favourite raw recipes for sure! Thank you for sharing!

Hey there justagirl! I've always wanted something that tasted like beans... I'm going to have to try this out. (P.S. Great meeting you at the Thanksgiving feast today.)

Zedster's Review
Refried "Beans"
Doesn't taste much like refried beans. I used 50/50 cashews and walnuts (which may be at fault), and it turned out awfully…I really couldn't stomach it. I tried adding lots of chili and some habanero to mask the taste, but it didn't help. Will have to try this with walnuts only—I really want this to be tasty.

Thought I should mention, I added a clove of garlic and 1/4 cup of olive oil as well.
