Raw vinaigrette dressing recipe
Posted in: Raw Salads and Salad Dressings, Raw Nut-Free Savory Recipes
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon honey or agave nectar
Directions
1. Combine ingredients in a bowl.
2. Stir vigorously until honey is well integrated into remainder of recipe.
3. Use right away or store this raw vinaigrette dressing recipe for use later.
The Rawtarian's Thoughts
This is a super easy raw vinaigrette dressing recipe with a nice tangy taste.
If your honey is quite hard stir it as well as you can. Then the acid in the apple cider vinegar will start to break it down after a few hours. So if you are using it right away you may still have some hard honey chunks in there.
It keeps well. Stir or shake gently before using.
I love to use this recipe on my raw avocado dulse salad recipe (pictured). Details of that recipe are here.

Hi Angelika - it won't taste the same, but you can use Bragg's Liquid Aminoes instead

What soy sauce do you recommend? Would it be possible to do a podcast or video on brands you use?

Would you store this in the fridge or just leave out at room temp?

Hi Kari, great question. I would leave this in a tightly sealed container at room temp. However, I would probably only leave it for a couple days - then I would chuck it and make a new batch if I wasn't sick of it :)

Thanks so much! I thought room temp might be the way to go. Havnt tried it yet but probably will soon.

I love this dressing! Quick and easy! Do you know how I'd calculate the serving size/nutrition info in it? I was thinking I'd just do the serving size of each ingredient and add it all together but I wasn't sure if that'd be the most accurate way. Just curious! Thanks for all your hard work, I love your recipes!

Hi Krista,
So glad you are enjoying this recipe! I don't provide caloric or nutritional info, but I find that the best way to do it is to simply plug each ingredient into a calorie counter (like fitday.com) and then get the info for the whole recipe, then determine how much of that recipe you use for 1 serving. Hope this helps!

Hello Laura-Jane,
I was thinking of making this for dinner salad tonight. Is there anything I could replace for the soy sauce?
Thanks,

Hi Desirae,
You could use Bragg's Liquid Aminos instead, or optionally omit the soy sauce entirely.
As we were chatting about via email, raw sauce sauce is often called "nama shoyu." Here's an example of a bottle: http://tinyurl.com/cqf2qeg
Hope this helps!

First I want to say thanks for all of the great recipes! I just found your site and everybody is asleep so I'm itching to try some.
We went raw about 3 weeks ago. And while I have enjoyed it, my kids and hunny have lost enthusiasm. So I can't wait to let them each pick a recipe out. I definitely need to hurry up and get a dehydrator so they can have a burger again!
But anyhoo! I just tried this recipe and really liked it. I didn't have olive oil so I used coconut. And I also used Braggs instead of soy sauce. I'm very sensitive to vinegar so I didn't used quite as much. I also added cracked pepper and Braggs spices. I loved it. I just ate a salad with it.
Again thanks for the great recipes. Keep them coming! :)

Sounds like you are on a roll, Jennifer! Hate it when everyone is sleeping when you want to make something horribly loud, like almonds in the food processor lol - hurry up and get a dehydrator already! They are fine. And not too loud ;)
