I just put all my favorite sweet things in a Vitamix and went to town. It's freezing right now, which is really testing my patience. I need a distraction!

Ingredients

1 to 2 tablespoons almond butter
1 large banana
1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon golden flax seeds (ground)
1 tablespoon maca powder
4 small dates (pitted)

Recipe Directions

1. Blend all ingredients in a Vitamix. Put it in the freezer or enjoy right away.

I am new at this Raw way of life and am very excited about it. So with that, some of these foods sound very unfamiliar to me. Can you tell me what maca powder is. I unfortunately live in a community that has very little access to whole organic foods, suppliments or things like maca powder.
