This is a quick and easy and very satisfying breakfast that'll stick with you for awhile. I was eating raw oatmeal, but it often has a bitterish aftertaste. I think this is better and buckwheat groats are easier to obtain than raw oatmeal.

Recipe Directions

1. I soak the nuts in my small bullet blender cup overnight, any blender would work, but the bullet is good because of the small amount and you can eat right out of the cup, or take it with you.

2. Rinse and drain the nuts. Add 1/2 cup water, salt, cinammon & sweetner. Blend until nuts are gone and you have a nice milk.

3. Add buckwheaties and blend for a minute, until it is almost smooth. If it is too thick, add a little water, too thin, add a few more buckwheaties. I like mine about the consistency of medium thick oatmeal.

4. Add optional embellishments, my favorites are walnuts and raisins. I sometimes add a little chia too.
