Yield
Serves 2-3; makes 5-6 balls (note the small serving)
Ingredients
4 dates
2 tablespoons cacao powder
1 tablespoon powdered greens (spirulina)
1 tablespoon coconut oil (soft)
1 tablespoon goji berries
Recipe Directions
1. Put it all in the Vitamix and blend slowly at first to a coarse meal.
2. I have used a little less coconut oil and added a few drops of water instead and they turn out great. The dough should just stick together like moist cake when pressed.
3. Roll into balls.
4. Refrigerate any leftovers. They can be frozen prior to travel.
Lzhpt's Thoughts
By lzhptThis reminded me of Mom’s devil’s food cake, only loaded with superfoods!
It is a small recipe so double or quadruple it to make superfood brownies!
I like this as an afternoon pick me up. Great for travel where the nutrition content of the food may not be so good.
These are loaded with superfoods, agave-free, and are perfect for experimentation.

Some people just don't use it, Angie. I buy mine raw, but lately I've just been sweetening things with dates or raisins. You could certainly use either. Raw honey, if you use it, would work well also.
