Equipment
None
Ingredients
1/2 to 1 cup organic, fair-trade, low pH coffee (If you are grinding your own beans, make grounds more coarse)
Handful of goji berries
1 tablespoon raw cacao nibs (ground)
Enough hot water (just below boiling) to fill French-press a few inches from top
Sweetener such as raw organic sugar cane, agave, raw honey, or stevia (optional)
Creamer such as hemp or rice milk (optional)
Recipe Directions
1. Fill French-press with coffee, goji berries, cacao, and water.
2. Let sit 12-24 hours at room temperature.
3. Put the press on the top to cover coffee but do not press down until ready to drink. You can heat coffee or leave cold when ready to drink.
Holistic Rae's Thoughts

The cold-pressed coffee process keeps the pH at a more alkaline level, and also prevents the crash effect from regular brewed coffee.
This coffee is usually quite strong so be prepared.
I usually can't drink coffee because of the high-low peaks, but this one is a nice smooth ride. :)
A French-press is recommended for brewing.

I'm pretty sure the author is suggesting using roasted coffee beans. This kind of cold-brew method for coffee seems to be the latest trend for those not quite willing to give it up entirely.
