Since then, I've been placed on a few medications, but the side effects seem to outweigh the benefits. Because of this, and because the ms seems to be wreaking havoc on my digestive system, I've decided to try a raw food diet. As it is, I already prefer fruits and veggies over meats-- always have. I don't know why, but most meats and other heavy foods tend to make my stomach crazy. I'm also lactose-intolerant. Anyway, I've been looking into healthy alternatives (meds and food) that will help treat my disease, or at least keep my symptoms at bay. Pretty much trial-and-error, so far, but I am looking forward to starting this lifestyle. At the very least, I'll likely be able to lose weight. This is a definite positive, since it's difficult for me to exercise.</p>
