Joined September 10, 2007<p>I am a friend, sister, auntie, wife, mom & Nana. I was raised a vegetarian as a child. However my parents were okay with eating eggs and drinking milk. Since then my folks (dad 86 and mom 79) have become vegan, still far from raw. I on the other hand have eaten everything I wanted for the past thirty years and recently have become raw. What changed my life was, being told by my doctor that I had an extremely high mercury level in my system (which was throwing off my digestive system & thyroid, I was also gaining weight) and she really couldn’t come up with a solution I was happy with. So I researched and found Raw Food to be the answer for my physical & mental health. Eating live foods has renewed and simplified my tastebuds. I have yet to convince my husband and teenage son…... I live in Hawaii where fresh organic fruits and veggies are abundant. I love being outdoors, playing in the yard and garden. I love the ocean and swimming, hiking in the mountains, traveling, and eating all fresh raw food.</p>
