Joined May 14, 2011
I have wanted to go RAW for years but all the talk of doing it organically & the expense of organic products is off-putting and not realistic for billions of people, over 75% of Americans are now living hand to mouth, or paycheck to paycheck. My "poorman's Raw" blog will show you can still get dramatic results even if you can only go RAW with conventionally grown food, if this is what your budget allows. It is about my exploration into a RAW food lifestyle without the "ORGANIC" expense, if I use organic it's because I learned how to grow it that way or it was an item I found in a discount market. I document the recipes I create, how my body is reacting to my experience in regards to moods/energy/weight. I have been obsessed with diet and food since childhood so in my years on this earth I have come to appreciate the caliber of organic products and the quality of craftsmanship involved in creating them, but the cost is rapidly becoming unobtainable for the majority of us here in the U.S. Alot of my recipes are made easily in a blender because it's easier to consume such large amounts of veggies this way, quick to drink and I don't like to spend a lot of time prepping, especially if I have to eat more than 6 times a day.
