These are decadent little macaroons. This will fill your kitchen with the aroma of dark chocolate. Substitutions can be made for the maple syrup and cocoa powder to make it 100% raw.

1. Mix the ingredients together by hand in a large bowl.
2. Using two spoons, shape macaroons into balls and place on dehydrator screens.
3. Dehydrate 12-16 hours, until crisp on the outside and chewy in the middle.

You have NO idea how good this sounds and how happy you have just made me. You've managed to put the words chocolate, macaroons, vanilla, cocoa nibs, and raw in the same sentence.

These are so very very good. I used shredded coconut since I didn't have flakes. I had been wanting dark chocolate soooo bad and here was this new recipe. I also used coconut oil, is that the same as coconut butter?????
