It has taken a WHOLE YEAR for me to use my appliances, make some of the raw food recipes from Matt Amsden’s “RAWvolution”, and make it to DAY 12 of a fast.

I fell off last year, but I’m definitely making progress now. I’ve tried several raw food recipes and they came out so great they impressed my meat-eating mama! lol So now I’m practicing making healthy dishes to serve at my first dinner party in my first apartment this spring. Very exciting! :-)
2007
1-21-07 (DAY 11): What is it with 11?! Broke my fast today around noon. I was making a veggie & fruit smoothie and proceeded to munch on the veggies and fruit…among other things (womp womp). So I’ll be making my first raw dish this week once I get the ingredients. Yay!!!
1-19-07 (DAY 9): My stomach is growling more now. Some dude brought some chicken w/ mild sauce in the shop while I was getting my brake pads replaced. Made me want to order some take-out and quit fasting this weekend. But I’m going to continue on because keeping my word and being consistent is more important to me right now than tasting some good food.

Good news! I bought “RAWvolution” by Matt Amsden http://www.rawvolution.com and my new appliances came today! Now I have everything I need to prepare some good raw food dishes. I plan to host some full course raw vegan dinner parties when I move into my new place. Cant wait!!!! :-D

1-18-07 (DAY 8): I saw a pic of a big ole succulent lobster in a facebook photo album. It was like porn to me the more I looked at it. I knew I couldn’t have it but I kept looking at it and thinking about it anyways :-( The only thing that did was make it even harder for me stay focused on completing my goal: to fast for more than 11 days.

1-16-07 (DAY 6): Ok, my transition to raw foods has begun. I’m beginning with a juice fast and plan to beat my previous record of 11 days. I’m 6 days in…no turning back now…

1-1-07: Changing my diet this year…
Inspired by: http://www.karynraw.com
