I am not 100% raw… I still eat some cooked foods such as steamed vegetables, seared salmon, tuna and filet mignon, usually when I go out to eat with someone or over to someones’ home.I still feel a lot better than I used to and I am gradually working my way towards 100% raw. But I’m not going to be hard on myself anymore, I know I’ll eventually get there because I don’t want to go back to the way I was.

I was developing bad food allergies with each passing year. I finally went to see an allergist and found out that I am specifically allergic to wheat, dairy, yeast, sugar and molds. At first I was devastated, there were so many things I could no longer eat. But I must say, eating mostly raw fruit ( even with its natural “sugar” ) and vegetables has soothed me tremendously!

I have only been on the “raw” journey for a year, so I understand I have a ways to go. There are still times when I feel very sick even though I cut out everything I’m allergic to (except for the fruit, I’ll never give that up! ), but I understand it’s just my body detoxifying. It will take some time to really become “clean”. At least I seem to “bounce- back” much faster.

Anyway, I can tell I will get a lot of information and encouragment from this site, so

Thank all of you! Peace
