Yield
Makes 25 small patties or 10-12 burgers
Ingredients
2 carrots (pulp from juicing)
2 stalks of celery (pulp from juicing)
3 apples (pulp from juicing)
2 basil leaves (pulp from juicing)
3 tablespoon shredded coconut
3 teaspoons hot paprika flakes
2 teaspoons curry powder
1½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
3 tablespoons Braggs or Nama Shoyu
1 bunch of parsley (pulp from juicing)
Recipe Directions
1. Juice the carrots, celery, apples, parsley and basil (drink the juice :) ).
2. Put the pulp in a bowl and mix well. Add the rest of the ingredients, you should get a wet but not dripping, easy-to-shape mixture (if too dry add water).
3. Shape them into patties, burgers, loaves or whatever your heart’s desire is on the mesh screen of the dehydrator and dehydrate them on 105 Fahrenheit for 7-8 hours.
Springfairy's Thoughts
By SpringfairyI was playing with my new Greenpower juicer yesterday and I decided to use the pulp from my morning juice for making small burgers.
The pulp mix was sweet and salty at the same time, so I just got inspired and decided to add different spices to create a sweet, salty and spicy burger that tingles the taste buds and warms me up.
They came out bright orange and very very tasty. I’m supposed to bring some to a friend’s place but I’m not sure they will make it :)

I just bought a juicer and have been trying to find a way to use the pulp. I feel like it is such a waste to just throw it away. Thank you for this idea, and I am going to try it. Sounds good to me.

I know this is gonna sound retarded.......but is a stalk a piece of celery or the whole celery thing? Also, when you say 2 basil leaves is that really how it sounds...and one more thing when you say "punch of parsley" do you mean the whole amount that is bunched with a rubberband when you buy them? Please let me know. Thanks

Hi Monale, English is not my mother tongue but I'm trying to answer your question, so I double checked with a dictionary :) So, a stalk is one stem, I guess. I mean by celery the long green stemmed thing with leaves at the ends not the celery root (which I also love to juice). I juiced two basil leaves for taste and the bunch of parsley is indeed the one bunched with the rubberband. I had a lot of inspiration, so I decided to create a drink but the leftovers seemed so inviting, I had to make something out of them. I hope this is helpful.
