Geniusrawmodel23's Thoughts
By geniusrawmodel23This is the best green smoothie I have ever had!!!! I just wanted to share it with you all so you could enjoy it too. It actually comes out a lovely purple-ish color. If it isn’t sweet enough you can add honey or something. I’m sure many of you drink something like this often, but I just wanted to share my variation, (also since some people were asking for lighter recipes) well here’s mine, anyway. I hope you like!!!!!

I think the parsley cuts the bitter taste, I use it in most of my green smoothies especially if i am not using much fruit. Great Recipe!!!!!

well, it is very thick, but no, it's not bitter. It's actually really good....As you see you can add as much water as necessary. I have a huuuuuuuuuuuge sweet tooth and I can handle this..I don't find it to be bitter at all...not sweet, by any means, but not bitter.

this looks awesome... im sick of green smoothie recipes with bananas... bananas aren't that cool... parsley rocks! my all time favorite smoothie is equal parts mango and parsley with some ice and a dash of lime...

This was made in a blender? I am TOTALLY new to raw and don't have a lot of fancy equipment so that caught my eye.

Thank you for your reply. Maybe it is that the lemon juice cuts the bitter greens? I will have to try this drink some time. Whether it tastes great or not, I am sure it is very medicinal with all that celery, beet, kale, spinach, parsley, lemon etc.

This looks to be more of a soup than a yummy green smoothie. I think if it has so much greens and beets, then it would be way too bitter. This smoothie will definitely need more fruit. I usually use two apple, two bananas and a couple large handfuls of greens in my smoothies.
