Yield
About 25 2" inch cookies
Ingredients
2 cups oats
1 large Fuji apple (chopped)
1 cup agave
¾ cup raisins
½ tablespoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg (or to taste)
Recipe Directions
1. Mix all ingredients together. If you don't like nutmeg, then reduce the amount or leave it out completely.
2. I used a 2 cookie scoop and packed the "batter" in tightly. Gently drop the cookie balls onto a Teflex sheet.
3. Dehydrate for 8 hours at 115 Fahrenheit.

Apple Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Made a variation of these which include zuchinni and a bananna :). The dough was wonderful so im sure the cookies will be as well. Great way to break in the spiralizer!

In the process of making these right now! Didn't have agave so I substituted a half cup maple syrup and half cup water and let the oats and raisins soak in it for about 20 mins while I got ready for work. The water substitution seemed to really bring it to a doughy consistency in the processor. The dough alone tastes amazing, I can't imagine how good they will be warm from the dehydrator!!

Just made my first batch.
I used blended dates instead of the agave and substituted coconut shavings for the apple.
The 'raw' dough tasted delicious!!!!!
I spread it out on a sheet and am planning on cutting it into 'bars', sorta like flapjack.
Can't wait for them to be done :))))))

Agave is the binder in the recipe. Some of us did have to add a few drops of water to get things moving.

I tried making these today. They didn't stick together that well at all. I didn't put the entire amount of agave because I thought it was too much. Oh well.....the taste is awesome. Apple cinnamon raisin granola?.....breakfast maybe? Thanks for the recipe. Maybe better luck next time!

joannabanana- funny! That used to be my nickname as a kid! :D I don't see why not...I certainly ate my fair share before it was dehydrated.

Caleb- Funny, I am trying that right now! I took half of the apple and used the food processor and also added 1 cup soaked dates (instead of using agave). I like having to bite into an apple once in a while, so I did not do the whole apple this way. I found that I needed to use some of the soak water to get things moving in the food processor. rawvie-I did not soak the oats.

I'm wondering if shredding the apples in a food processor first would be better than chopping them finely? I may try it. I made some apple cinnamon cookies doing this a while back.

3relefords- Yes, they are steel cut oats. I suppose you could make them with groats. I don't see why not! :D Let me know how they turn out. I am making some more right now!
Change them up! Add your fav ingredients and see what happens! I think that this is an easily adjustable recipe.
Blessings!

I really like the ways these came out.....they look very good. Beautiful picture. Your picture looks like steel cut oats, do you think I could make these with groats? I'm always searching for a tasty nut free dessert. I hope I like these. I'll post after I've made them. Thanks for the recipe.
