Creamy dark purple “soft serve ice cream” that tastes like chocolate covered blueberries!

Recipe Directions

1. Put bananas and blueberries in a blender.

2. Pour juice over top (juice is not for taste, just to get the blender going and to make a nicer consistency).

3. Blend until the blender has everything twirling nicely. You may need to stop and spin the blades a little with a spoon to get it to loosen up; add some juice if it’s stuck but not too much; otherwise you get a smoothie.

4. Once the blender has everything going nicely, add cacao powder to taste (or not, it’s great “plain” too!).

I've used cherries and never add liquid. It IS delicioso!

Cherries is a good idea; I've used fresh pineapple and that usually has enough juice in it to make additional juice unnecessary. Mix with some unprocessed oats and it's an excellent parfait.

I've been making something like this for ages now (but with water, not juice) - it's fantastic! My favourite smoothie/ice cream. *yum*
