Yield
Serves 4-6
Ingredients
2 cups dates (soaked 1 hour in lemon water)
½ cup pure maple syrup or dark agave
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ lemon (juiced)
Recipe Directions
1. See brownie recipe on this site.
2. Just roll them into little balls instead (no dehydrating needed).
3. Prepare the brownies or slice up some Granny Smiths while soaking your dates in lemon water—1 lemon, juiced into enough water to cover the dates.
4. Blend and whip the caramel dip ingredients in the Vitamix.

Awesome! This is one recipe I am willing to incorporate maple syrup into and I will add a bit of coconut oil for a buttery flavor also and some coconut cream. I'll write how I like it.

sounds yummy! Not to toot my own horn, but throw some brazil nuts into the mix, the best caramel recipe I have tried has been my own. Go to my profile if you want to check it out. I hope you are truly enjoying raw and recipe making :)

Izhpt, I'm not sure what Sweet Adeline's problem is. I have no trouble understanding this recipe and its reference to the brownies.

Never tried it. Please try it and post back. Most raw recipes for this call for the maple syrup--I'd love to rawify it even more. The people who have used agave(which is also not raw, even if it says so) say the taste is not right.
