Shaymav's Thoughts

By shaymav

Spinach in a smoothie is the gateway to a new diet. It's almost flavourless but your body is exposed to so many nutrients. It contains fiber, vitamins A, C, E and K, thiamin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and manganese. It's no wonder spinach is anti-ageing and a rich source of antioxidants.

Similarly nutritious are berries. These powerful fruits, regardless of variety, are renowned for their antioxidant properties.

They fight the pathogens that lead to ageing and disease. Some varieties, like blueberries, even sharpen the mind. Providing focus and mental energy to knock things off your to do list.

We round out the recipe with almond milk and coconut protein. You can sub in vanilla or chocolate protein, as long as it's plant based. Or if you don't like powders, get in some nuts or seeds. Just don't skip protein. That essential building block will keep you full, increase metabolism, balance hormones and help tone that tummy.
