This is a spiced cocoa recipe that I came up with to replace my hot milk and nutmeg to help me sleep.

Nutmeg is great for relieving insomnia!

Theses are all warming spices, so you really don’t need to warm this drink up. It will warm you up from the insides out.

Note: The amount of nutmeg can be decreased if you are not a nutmeg fan. The amount I use is medicinal.

The nutmeg will started to the bottom of the mug, so I use the cinnamon stick to keep stirring it up!

you could do it with warm water too, and make it a warm not chocolate! also, if you leave the blender running a while, it gradually warms stuff up. you can't get it as hot as you used to drink it, but it can still be pretty warm!

I do this with stevia instead of the agave nectar. It's a killer recipe! ^_^

I tried this recipe this afternoon without using the spices. I had been craving hot chocolate today. Mmmmm. It was good. It satisfied my craving. I only used the water, cashew butter, agave and carob powder (I don't like caocao.) I think I'll be making this often!

wow that looks fabulous, and I think you're so right about the 'warming' effect of the spices. Can't wait to try it! :)
