Crisyn's Thoughts

Someone else deserves the credit for this recipe, but I can’t remember where I jotted it down from. All I know is that it is a really tasty and decadent recipe to whip up when you are craving something sweet.
Eat with a spoon or use as a sweet spread or dip for fruit pieces.
At some point, I plan to try experimenting this for a raw version of cookie dough ice cream. Yum!
Please note: I included this recipe in the Kids category, but children under 1 should not be served honey. Also, some children can have adverse reactions to sesame and cacao, so please use caution.

I used almond butter and skipped the coconut - loved it!!

I just made this with a few substitutions. I used 1/2 raw tahini and 1/2 raw almond butter. I also used agave instead of honey and flax seed oil in place of coconut oil.
It is pretty good. The raw almond butter adds a bit of a rough texture.

I think I would like it better with either almond butter or cashew...the tahini taste was a little over powering to me...but the consistancy was very similar to raw cookie dough.

oops! i didn't even put the vanilla in. my mistake. I'm having it with apple slices, but i bet it'd be decadent with banana.. or berries

OOOOO i just made this with cashews [no tahini in the house right now, and it was either cashews, sunflower seeds, or walnuts. not sure how the last two would turn out. has anyone tried any other nuts/seeds other than almonds and tahini?]
i will definitely use less coconut oil next time, and probably a little less agave, or i'll try using dates instead of agave. this would be really yummy as a thin middle layer of a raw cake! gasp.

I just made it with almond butter---yum! I'm going to try it with pecan butter next time--pecans and chocolate chips were always my favorite together!

I just made a batch. I was very tasty! I ran it out to the garage fridge so i won't be tempted to eat the whole bowl. There wasn't tahini so I put sesame seeds and a tiny bit
of water in the blender and made some-very economical vs. store bought.

Yup - I eat it right out of the bowl! I haven't tried dehydrating it, but I suppose there is a cookie just begging to be inspired by this recipe :-)

Oh boy, I have been wondering about a recipe just like this! Do you eat it cold, right out of the refrigerator? Have you tried dehydrating? I used to be a big fan of cookies all melty right out of the oven.
