Why is this stuff boiled and pasteurized?!? I used 3 sweet soft Jonathan apples and 1 Granny Smith. Yum!

Makes enough for four servings, or two large breakfasts

Ingredients
4 medium size apples (cored, diced)
5 strawberries (fresh or frozen)
1 teaspoon sweetener (optional)
Recipe Directions
1. Core and dice the apple.
2. Put in food processor and process until smooth (or chunky – depends on how you like your applesauce).
3. Add water if needed. Add strawberries. Eat!

Looks and sounds awesome! I really like applesauce, and you are right - why is it boiled and pasteurized? Simple and obviously delicious. Thank you for the recipe :o)
