Joined May 2, 2008<p>I am currently 75% raw and am thrilled with the results, as well as intrigued by this new way of eating. At some point I’ll try to go 100%, but want to do so when I’m done breastfeeding, and that will be awhile. This is definitely such a different way of eating that at times it’s been tough to wrap my head around it. The toughest part is traveling, and eating so differently from everyone I know… having to buy different things at the store in addition to what people buy… I really dislike to be wasteful about food when offered cooked alternatives on the road. I do enjoy being a bit of a crusader and telling people about it. So far people are interested, and I get excited when the occasional person wants to learn more when they see how much I’m getting out of it. The foods and recipes I’ve shared are a hit which is comforting. Still can’t convince DH to come over to the “raw” side, but he’s been supportive thus far and will try things now and again. I never thought through raw eating that I would be avoiding dairy and meat, which I love. But the more I learn about the raw way of eating, the less I miss meat when I don’t eat it.</p>
