If you love the taste of chocolate and orange together as much as I do, you will love this smoothie! It’s more like a dessert. I don’t usually measure so the quantities are rough estimates but play around with them.

yes, they probably aren't necessary. i just like them for the protein after working out and they make it a little creamier. you could skip them or add any nuts/seeds.

trigirl63 - actually, it's pretty expensive already (like the non-raw but organic Dagoba brand) and even more expensive if you get raw and organic powder... and in my experience, it does NOT last long, lol. I usually scarf it down before I even realize I've used it up. and then it's gone. :(

Fabulous! My 2 kids and I just tried it and LOVE it! Does anyone remember those chocolate oranges candy they had and you had to smack it on the counter to separate the chocolate pieces? Tastes just like that. Thanks for the recipe!

I just had something like this an hour ago, except it was two oranges, one frozen banana, and a tablespoon of cacao nibs. DELISHUS! lol.
I used to love those Chocolate Orange things! the ones that looked like oranges made out of chocolate. I also used to love Japanese chocolate-orange Pocky. YUMMM.
