7-8 cookies
Ingredients
1½ cups walnuts (soaked 6-8 hours)
Handful of almonds (soaked 6-8 hours)
3 dried apricots (soaked 30 minutes)
4 dates (soaked 30 minutes)
2 cloves
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon mix of nutmeg, ginger, and cardamon
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon organic orange peel (finely chopped)
Recipe Directions
1. Put everything, except the orange peel, in the food processor and process until you get a sticky, paste-like consistency.
2. Mix in the orange peel.
3. Form into cookies and dehydrate at 100° Fahrenheit for 10 hours or so.

A clove is a spice. They look like tiny little nails when not ground.

In The Ingredients list 2 cloves of What?? Not Garlic???

Yum! I made these last night, and they were so easy and taste really good, especially now that it's cold here. The flavor actually reminds me more of stollen b/c of the cardamom than gingerbread -- that's good for me, b/c i loved stollen and used to make it every year for Christmas. Thanks for giving me a satisfying substitute!
